Charles Herbert Flowers High School Principal Gorman Brown believes Alumni Day is a significant venue for current students to see what opportunities await them after graduation, and that it allows alumni to give back to the school. Instructional Coordinator Linda Aarons who organizes the annual event, sees it as an important opportunity for current students to focus on their future. Sometimes alumni share stories about their imperfections when they were at Flowers, giving students hope and letting them know that even if they are not perfect, they too can change and become successful.
Alumni Days Celebrated at Charles Herbert Flowers High School

Every year Charles Herbert Flowers High School Alumni begin to call and email just after Halloween asking one question “When is Alumni Day? For the past several years the school has welcomed alumni to come back to the school just prior to Winter Break and have encouraged them to stop by and see their teachers and talk with current students about life after high school. Several hundred Alumni returned to Flowers over the course of the 2 day event this year. Highlights included the Student Government Association sponsored luncheon for the Alumni and a special forum for students where they were able to listen to a group of alumni talk about how to successfully navigate college and how to build a career. |
