    Greetings Drew-Freeman Middle School Families,

With great excitement, I write this letter of introduction as the Acting Principal of Drew-Freeman Middle School. It is an honor to get the opportunity to serve a school that has a dedicated staff that wants to bring out the creativity and talent of all students. Throughout the students’ middle school years, students will obtain the necessary skills to make them college and career-ready to ensure that they are productive citizens and lifelong learners.

I am a product of Prince George’s County Public Schools and have worked for Prince George’s County Schools for twenty years. I have held many roles such as a Technology Coordinator, Professional Lead Teacher, College and Career Coordinator, Crisis Intervention Resource Teacher, and Assistant Principal at Drew-Freeman. As a principal of Drew-Freeman, I will support the staff to promote professional growth and ensure students are learning academically and socially. I believe that all students are capable of learning when given the appropriate tools.

I will lead Drew-Freeman with a transformational leadership style to ensure we use the best practices to educate our students and create a safe student-centered environment. By creating a student-centered learning environment, students will learn how to deal with challenges appropriately and push their thinking to sharpen the skills learned. We will soar high with one hundred percent participation from parents, staff, and students. Over the next few weeks, I will work diligently to ensure we have an excellent start for the 2022 – 2023 school year.

I am excited and look forward to beginning this journey with Drew- Freeman Middle School family!

    Educationally,

    Ms. Natasha Kyler
