Welcome to the 2020-2021 School Year!

    Dear Parents and Guardians,

Welcome back to the 2020-2021 School Year! I want to first welcome our new families to the High Bridge family. I also want to welcome back our returning families as well. We have all been affected by the Covid-19, Coronavirus plague. This virus has transformed the way we interact socially, emotionally and psychologically. However, we are resilient and we will get through this moment in time TOGETHER!

I know it has been a difficult time for our children adjusting to, not being in the school house with their friends and teachers. However, we have to adjust to the “new normal” way of teaching and learning. As we embark on the school year, we want to make every effort to equip your child with as much access to materials needed to sustain them while learning from home. Therefore, we will distribute Chrome Books and or IPads, to those students who did not receive one this past spring. In other words, each child will have one on one devices. The 2 days designated are Monday August 24, 2020 and Thursday August 27, 2020. We will also provide your child with textbooks, consumable workbooks and supplemental materials such as math manipulatives and reading resource materials to help them with their daily lessons.  A universal school supply list is posted for your convenience in order to have your child prepared to begin school August 31, 2020 promptly at 8:00 a.m. daily.

During the week of August 24, 2020 the Master School Schedule will be posted. Please check with School Max for your child’s individual homeroom teacher. Also, please have all pertinent information in School Max updated such as, current telephone numbers and email addresses, this is extremely important when it comes to communication between you and the school.

On August 28, 2020, there will be a Mock Orientation Day (virtually), in order to acquaint yourself with the school community along with all the virtual resources we provide and are available to you. Additionally, we will have our annual Back to School Night (virtually). Information on the date and time will be forthcoming.

In closing I want to ask you to stay encouraged, communicate often with me and the staff when you have concerns or questions, but most importantly stay involved with your child’s education. Staying involved as a partner with the school will be vital to the success of your child’s growth and development.

    Educationally Yours,

    William J. Kelly
