It is mandatory for all Volunteers, Field trip
Chaperones, Mentors, Interns and Tutors to get fingerprinted by PGCPS and MUST
take the online Safety Training program*.
This video series will train you on school related issues.
These assigned courses must be completed before you can volunteer or
participate in school field trips, the online Safety Training must be done
yearly.

The courses are offered in English and Spanish
If you do not have access to a computer, please
contact Mrs. Caballero at 301-513-5900. Thank

Once the courses are completed, please bring a
copy of the certificate of completion to the main office.
*If you already completed the fingerprint process and received
your receipt, you still must take the online Safety Training program.
Per ADMINISTRATIVE
PROCEDURE 4215 - VOLUNTEERS MUST:
Undergo a fingerprint check - at least 14 days in advance of volunteer
activity
Undergo a Child Protective Services (CPS)
clearance -
at least 14 days in advance of volunteer activity
Complete required training modules - prior to engaging in volunteer activity.

As
you know, the safety of our students is our top priority. We certainly enjoying having you volunteer in
our classroom and join us on our exciting field trips. Due to a recent change in administrative
procedures within the county, any adult that would like to volunteer MUST
go get a fingerprint clearance at the Sasscer Administration Building. You must bring the yellow sheet back to the main
office at least 14 days prior to the field trip.
There
is a fee for the fingerprint clearance, but if your child receives free or
reduced lunch, this fee can be waived. In order for the fee to be waived you
must take the letter that was mailed in a blue envelope with you when you go to
the fingerprint office. If you have misplaced the letter you may obtain a new
one at the Food & Nutrition Office Building. We have listed the prices,
addresses, and telephone number for your convenience. There is no appointment necessary. You must take a government issued ID with
you.
