Ms. Kina Flood is a proud product of PGCPS. A
graduate from Suitland High School in the early 90’s, she went on to earn a
B.S. in Elementary Education from Morgan State University, a Master’s in
Curriculum and Instruction, and Administration I and II certification from
Loyola University in Baltimore. She started her career in education at Laurel
Elementary School and taught 6th grade Math and Science for 11 years. In
2008, Kina built upon her success as an educator and transitioned from the
classroom into the administrative offices of Cherokee Lane Elementary where she
served 5 years as an Assistant Principal. In 2013, Kina joined the
Langley Park McCormick family as an Assistant Principal and now she is proud to
be your Principal.
She
believes that every child must embrace the opportunity to learn and advocates
for every child to take advantage of this opportunity. She believes
parental involvement is a large part of student success. Parents are welcome
and encouraged to be active participants in their child’s education. Kina is
looking forward to seeing everyone this year and is excited to serve the
community of Langley Park McCormick.
