    The Prince George’s County Public Schools Department of Food and Nutrition Services (FNS) is dedicated to supporting student education by promoting and encouraging healthy nutrition habits. All menus meet federal and state requirements and are based on the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Dietary Guidelines for Americans and ChooseMyPlate.Gov.

    Student Meals during Virtual Learning
    Grab and Go meals will be served two (2) days per week.

    Serving Days
    Monday - Students pick up two (2) meal packages
    Wednesday - Students pick up three (3) meal packages.
    Note: Serving days may change with inclement weather and holidays.

    Once the application is approved students can apply for:

    Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) Fee Waivers:
    SAT fee waivers are available to eligible 11th and 12th grade students.

    What Does the SAT Fee Waiver Cover:

    • The registration fee for up to two SATs, with or without the SAT Essay.
    • The registration fee for up to two SAT Subject Test administrations (take up to three individual SAT Subject Tests on a single test day).
    • Four limited-time score reports plus four to use at any time.
    • Four college application fee waivers.
    • Question-and-Answer Service (QAS) or Student Answer Service (SAS) if ordered at the time of test registration.
    • A fee reduction for multiple-choice score verification or essay score verification.
    • Up to eight CSS/Financial Aid PROFILE® fee waivers to use to apply online for non-federal financial aid from colleges, universities, professional schools, and scholarship programs, for free. 

    Preliminary Scholastic Aptitude Test (PSAT/NMSQT Fee Waivers) 
    Eligible juniors can take the PSAT/NMSQT for free.

    Advanced Placement (AP) Exams:
    Advanced Placement Exam fee reduction on all AP Exams that they take in a given year.

    Common App Fee Waiver:
    The Common App streamlines the application process in a number of ways, one of which is asking for fee waivers. Students can request fee waivers from any Common App schools.


    Dual Enrollment Program:

    • The College Readiness and Completion Act of 2013, Senate Bill 740, establishes a number of requirements designed at increasing college readiness and degree completion in the State. The Bill’s targeted initiatives include dual enrollment (providing eligible high school students the opportunity to take college courses).
    • PGCPS will pay tuition for all students dually enrolled in qualified courses at any Maryland public college or university. Fees and textbooks will be paid for students who receive free and reduced meals.
    • PGCPS currently has formal agreements with Prince George's Community College and Bowie State University.

    • Lifeline is a government assistance program that offers discounts to qualified customers.
    • Verizon offers Lifeline plans for home phone service or broadband (Internet) service. 
    • Reduced rate on your Verizon monthly bill.
