   Lewisdale's mission is to engage students in a rigorous learning environment in order to prepare them for the academic, economic, social, and technological challenges of a rapidly changing, culturally diverse world.  

Lewisdale Elementary School Vision

    Lewisdale Elementary School is a school where educators work collaboratively to create an innovative learning environment using data driven instruction, develop and implement best educational practices, utilize resources including support and enrichment programs. Students take ownership of their learning by actively participating in instructional programs by developing problem solving skills and by demonstrating responsible and respectful behavior.

 The policies and procedures in this handbook are the result of a concerted effort on the part of the staff and principal. This information has been carefully prepared so that it will become an integral part of our program.

The mission of the Prince George's County Public Schools is to ensure that all students acquire knowledge and develop the skills and work habits to enable them to become productive members of society. This mission is best accomplished when school personnel maintain high expectations for all students, create a positive school climate, ensure a safe and orderly school environment, monitor students' progress on a frequent basis, and promote effective home/school communication.
