Oxon Hill Middle School Guidance Department Mission & Vision Statement

The vision and mission of the School Counseling Program is to provide all students with a comprehensive school counseling program. Oxon Hill Middle school counseling program is centered on an engaging curriculum that encourages the highest level of student achievement through our students' growth in academics, career, and personal/social domains. In partnership with school personnel, parents, and community stakeholders, the counselors will help all students to be successful citizens of excellence.

During this school year, the following services will be offered by the counselors here at Oxon Hill Middle School:

The Counselor will meet with classroom groups to acclimate students to the guidance program, services, and facilities.

Parent/Teacher meetings will be used to communicate information about students’ behavior and academic progress during the school year.

Small groups will be formed as needed for specific short term counseling for some students.
