Social Emotional Academic Development (SEAD) Program

The Transition Program serves students who are referred to the program by their home-based school for the treatment of a variety of emotional and adjustment issues that are significantly interfering with their academic and social emotional growth. The goal of the program is to prepare students academically and behaviorally for successful reintegration into the general education population.

The goals and objectives of each student are implemented in a self-contained classroom setting with a small teacher /student ratio. Related services provide social skills training, crisis intervention and counseling as needed. Students and their families participate in a comprehensive behavior management system in order to increase the frequency of responsible behavior and decrease inappropriate behaviors. A daily progress report provides communication to parents.
