Grading and Reporting and School Readiness Guide 

The Division of Academics would like to inform you of documents that provide information related to grading and reporting and school readiness guides for Prekindergarten (PreK) through Grade 8. Important Attendance Notice

Students are expected to arrive to school between 7:20 a.m. and 7:40 a.m. each day.  Instruction begins promptly at 7:45 a.m.  Beginning Monday, September 22nd, students who arrive to class after 7:45 a.m. will be marked tardy and will be required to serve one hour of after-school detention daily from 2:25 p.m. - 3:25 p.m.  Walkers in Pre-K - 4th grades and all bus riders require parent pick-up.  Walkers in grades 5th - 8th will be allowed to walk home after serving detention.  Thank you for your cooperation.

Traffic Pattern

To ensure the safety of all students, we asked that you pull your car into the right drop off lane and allow your child to exit the car onto the sidewalk each morning.  In addition, please do not enter the bus loading and unloading area between the hours of 7:00 a.m. - 8:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.  Parents entering the school building between the hours of 7:00 a.m. - 8:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. must park in the parking lots located at Suitland Community Center.  NO ENTERING BUS LOT

Early Dismissal Procedure

Any visitor to the building must first report to the front office.  Parents/guardians wishing to pick up their student early must first sign the student out before leaving.  Be advised that early dismissals are not permitted after 2:00 p.m.
