Greetings Mighty Panther Families!
Welcome to the beginning of the 2021- 2020 school year at Walker Mill Middle School!
I am excited to welcome you to a new school year at Walker Mill Middle School ( WMMS). It is time to return for some and re enter for others, to The Home of the Panthers! Our mission is to create an environment that nurtures student creativity and academic excellence. As always, we will focus on making our vision and mission the core of our daily work with our students, teachers and parents. The teachers at Walker Mill have committed themselves to delivering a rigorous instructional program to ensure that our students leave college or career ready.
Your partnership and support are key elements to ensuring that we are able to maximize each student’s educational and personal development. To that end, we encourage a positive home-school relationship based on the mutual goal of providing the best learning experience possible for all of our students. Please encourage your students to always exemplify PRIDE!

Our school day is 9:30 am to 4:10 pm. Any student arriving after 9:40am should report to the office with documentation to receive a late slip to give to their first MOD teacher. Parents/Guardians arriving to pick students up for early departures must arrive no later than 3:30 pm, students will not be released after this time. In addition, students will not be released to any individual NOT listed in school max. Please login to schoolmax to check the contacts list and see the registrar to update.
The updated 2021-2022 detailed student dress code is located on the school website. The detailed electronic device policy is posted on our website. Please remind your students:
All cell phones and personal electronic devices (PEDs) must be powered off and put away during the school day, except when permission is given by a teacher or administrator to use for instructional purposes.
Students may not listen to music, text, make phone calls, play games, or take photos or videos at school, except under certain circumstances where permission may be granted by administration.
Parents, please do not call or text your student during the school day. If you need to speak to your student, please call the main office and we will allow your student to come to the office to take the call.
We look forward to a very positive and productive year together! We extend a yearlong invitation to our families to join us for school activities and events whenever possible. We value your involvement and support in your child’s education! Your active participation is key to the success of your student during his/her middle school years. If you would like to volunteer in the classroom or chaperone any field trips, complete the required training at http://www.pgcps.org/required-training/. Please provide a copy of your certificate of completion and your fingerprint receipt to the main office.
