    Food and Nutrition Services

    The Department of Food and Nutrition Services (FNS) is dedicated to supporting student education by promoting and encouraging healthy nutrition habits, such as increasing fruits and vegetables, including whole grains, and eating balanced meals. All menus meet federal and state requirements and are based on the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Dietary Guidelines for Americans and ChooseMyPlate.Gov.

    Student Meals for Virtual Learning - 
    FNS is committed to meeting the nutritional needs of each and every student during the upcoming school year. Grab and Go meals will be served two (2) days per week. 

    Serving Days:
    • Monday - Students pick up two (2) meal packages
    • Wednesday - Students pick up three (3) meal packages.
    Note: Serving days may change with inclement weather and holidays. 

    Meal packages consist of a full breakfast and a full lunch. 
    • Breakfast = Breakfast Item(s), Fruit, and Milk
    • Lunch = Entree (Meat/Meat Alternate & Grain), Vegetable/Fruit and Milk.
    Supper meals will only be offered at state approved locations.

    Pick-Up Meals Off-Campus

    Meals will be distributed between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. at designated community locations for students who live at least 1.5 miles from the nearest schools. For more information please call the Department of Transportation support telephone number at 301-952-6570.

    Meals are planned according to federal and state nutrition standards, to include the Dietary Guidelines for Americans and ChooseMyPlate.gov.

    • Elementary Lunch includes choice of entrée (meat/grain combination), up to two (2) vegetables, choice of one (1) fruit, and a choice of milk.  
    • Middle and High School Lunch includes choice of entrée (meat/grain combination), up to two (2) vegetables, choice of two (2) fruits, and a choice of milk.  
    • For a reimbursable meal, a student must take a fruit or vegetable at lunch.

    Online Payment

    MySchoolBucks, owned and operated by Heartland Payment Systems, is an online payment service that provides parents the ability to securely pay for meals, monitor student cafeteria purchases, make tuition payments for Before and After School Extended Learning programs, and receive email notifications for low account balances. With MySchoolBucks, payments can be made 24/7 using a Visa, MasterCard, Discover, credit or debit card, and mobile app.

  • Refunds, Transfers and Donations

    MEAL ACCOUNT REFUNDS, TRANSFERS AND DONATIONS

     The aforementioned form may be used to transfer meal account balances between students.  As well as, donate balances and funds to assist with out Lunch Loan Allowance Fund.  The Lunch Loan Allowance Fund assists schools to offset families in need of assistance with meal accounts.

    Please note student's meal account balances automatically carry over to the next school year.  Graduating 12th grade seniors and withdrawn students have up to one year to request meal account refunds.  After such time, these funds will be transferred to the Lunch Loan Allowance Fund.

    MEAL ACCOUNT REFUND:

    To receive a refund from your student's meal account, please submit a completed FNS Pre-paid Meal Account Refund Transfer Donation Request Form (available below).  Refund may take up to 45 business days to process.
