On Saturday, June 19, 2021, the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Incorporated Pi Upsilon Lambda Chapter in
conjunction with the Pi Upsilon Lambda Charitable Foundation present the 13th Annual Christopher G. Riley
Father’s Day Breakfast.

This year’s theme is “Fatherhood in the Midst of a Pandemic.” The Father’s Day Breakfast Committee is
soliciting essay writers from grades K-12. The essays should not be any longer than one single spaced typed
page. The essays should respond to the prompt, “During the Pandemic my father...”

There will be one prize for each of the elementary, middle school, and high school grade levels.

If you know someone whose father would be a great inspiration for an essay, please have them submit an essay via the link below no later than 5:00 pm on Friday, May 28, 2021.

Event Information:
We encourage all fathers of essay writers to attend this event. We also encourage attendance by any members of the Prince George’s County Community who wish to support our recognition of fathers. Links to the broadcast
will be sent to the winners so they can read their essays. Please register via this link to be sent the broadcast
information. The program will begin promptly at 10:00 am. Local radio personality Brother Bremante Bryant
will serve as our Master of Ceremonies. We are pleased to have our Former General President, Mark S.
Tillman, as our guest speaker.
