POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the direction of the Evaluation Supervisor, the Employee Effectiveness
and Evaluation Specialist will support principals, managers, educators and
system employees in all aspects of the employee evaluation system, including
but not limited to: self-assessment,
goal setting, plan development, collection of evidence and formative and
summative assessments. The incumbent of this position will support managers
with all facets of the evaluation process and will work with a variety of
individuals and serve as liaisons between schools, offices, district content
experts, supervisors, directors and executive level management to ensure the
performance evaluation process is ensuring effective teaching in every
classroom and effective leadership in all schools. This position will require working year round
on training, support and capacity building throughout the district, including
support to building new evaluation systems for all employee groups as
required.
DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Redesigns
and implements evaluation systems and tools tied to the various teaching and
non-teaching positions;
Develops
and implements the technology used to support evaluation;
Creates
reports for district and state use and analysis;
Understands
the standards and calibration for performance evaluation;
Supports
educator self-assessment, goal setting and growth plan development;
Understands,
disseminates and supports educators with best practices that impact student
learning;
Works
toward building systems in each school that will be able to provide ongoing
support to teachers in the realm of evaluation;
Identifies
and resolves problems and refers issues to academic leadership;
Develops
and maintains positive working relationships within PGCPS departments to drive
collaboration and project success;
Ensures
fidelity of systems through calibration of evaluators;
Verifies
reliability of systems through random tests of evaluation integrity in
schools and offices;
Provides
technical assistance to principals and/or managers to drive evaluation rollout
success in every school and office;
Provides
professional support and coaching support to supervisors, managers and
identified employees;
Supports
districts and school cultures focused on teaching and learning;
Conducts
evaluations when needed; and
Performs
other duties as assigned.

Ability

and external partners;
Demonstrated
project management experience;
Proficiencies
with technology including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Google
Docs and Oracle;.
Familiarity
and knowledge with the PGCPS evaluation systems, Framework for Teaching and
other evaluation systems; and
Exceptional
time management, communication skills and a strong organizational capacity.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in
education, educational policy, administration or a related field required. A minimum of five (5) years of successful
teaching experience required.
CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Advanced
Professional Certificate with Administrator I Certification required.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
No direct supervisory responsibilities.
