POSITION SUMMARY:


  Under the direction of the Director, the incumbent of this position provides Oracle System Setup and functional support for the school districts Oracle Financial System.    

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

 

Analyze Financial Functional users' needs and prepare functional specifications for system enhancements;

Coordinate user requirements between the users and the IT department;

Extensive user interface to map PGCPS business requirements onto the Oracle Financial Application;

Assist with and/or conduct training programs for Super and end Users;

Coordinate the implementation of changes to the Financial system setup;

Coordinate and support Finance interfaces to legacy and third party systems as required;

Document all procedures used in the Finance area;

Update functional skills and knowledge through continuous self-study, self-discovery, tutorials, and classes; and

Troubleshoot Finance issues encountered on a daily basis, suggest resolutions and implement them.

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS:The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
  • Working knowledge of Oracle Financial business and functional foundation is necessary. This includes the following Oracle Financial modules:
  • Oracle Finance (Accounting, Payroll)
  • Oracle Benefits (OSB or OAB)
  • SSHR knowledge is preferable
  • Oracle System Administration experience
  • Working knowledge of Oracle Discoverer reporting tool;
  • Working knowledge of the Oracle AIM methodology and how the documents are used;
  • Good communications skills to express Business requirements and documentation.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:


 

Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field, or a proven record of success as an Oracle Financial functional person, with at least four (4) years of Oracle application functional experience required with a degree, or six (6) years of experience without a degree.

No direct supervisory responsibilities.
