POSITION SUMMARY:


Under the direction of the Senior Employee Services Partner, the HR Identification Management Clerk performs office and clerical work of limited complexity. An employee in this class is responsible for performing clerical tasks using skills that can be readily learned by on-the-job training. Advice is received on unusual work problems and work is usually reviewed or checked upon completion.  The primary responsibility of the HR Identification Management Clerk will be printing identification badges for employees.

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Takes photographs for identification cards and maintains photos of employees;

Ensures accuracy of the information entered into access control system for new and separating employees;

Maintains a database for cards that are lost or stolen and issues replacement cards as necessary, which requires the ability to receive and handle money;

Dispenses factual information of a routine and repetitive nature by phone or by using appropriate form letters;

Respects the privacy of others, and maintains the confidentiality of information to which exposed;

Provides clerical support to the Employee Services team; schedules appointments as needed for staff;

Provides prompt, courteous service; assists with high volume of calls and visitors, routing as appropriate to staff and/or offices;

Assesses customer needs through effective questioning and listening skills in an attempt to complete calls in a timely and accurate manner; and

Performs related duties as assigned. 

QUALIFICATIONS:The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Must have exceptional organizational skills;

Must be results oriented with a strong sense of initiative and urgency;

Must have demonstrated ability to build rapport and cooperative relationships;

Must have excellent interpersonal and communications skills, both oral and written;

Must be skilled in Microsoft Office Suite and skilled using the identification card equipment; and

Ability to work effectively as a team member in order to move toward the completion of goals.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:


High school graduate or GED required, with a minimum of 3 years of office experience preferred. Experience in clerical work which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities highly desired.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee may occasionally push or lift up to 25 lbs.
