POSITION SUMMARY:


Under the direction of the Director, the Human Resources Operations and Staffing Coordinating Manager provides leadership, strategic direction, and guidance for the day-to-day operations of assigned offices in the department.  The incumbent of this position supports a variety of programs and work strands, and develops and oversees implementation of policies and processes to support the employment lifecycle.  The Human Resources Operations and Staffing Coordinating Manager supervises and manages assigned staff.

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Develops strategies by identifying and researching human resources' needs and issues, leads and participates in information analysis and recommendations for strategic direction that establishes human resources objectives in line with school system objectives;

Analyzes and strategically utilizes data to inform the recruitment and staffing processes; anticipates the needs of the division and makes recommendations to the Chief Human Resources Officer and departmental Directors;

Develops innovative solutions for identified issues and problems; translates information into strategic action plans; provides logistical and administrative support and leadership to ensure seamless and efficient services;

Works to develop new and innovative ways to evaluate and continually improve processes to deliver high quality customer service; designs or refines strategies and plans around areas of opportunity in response to data;

Conducts routine and specialized reporting requiring data collection and analysis; prepares and presents specialized reports;

Develops and revises department Administrative Procedures, Standard Operating Procedures, and other processes and procedures to ensure district is in compliance with all local, state, and federal requirements;

Provides effective training, motivation, direction, delegation, monitoring and evaluation of assigned staff to ensure impeccable service is provided to all customers;

Partners and collaborates with division and school system departments such as School Support & Leadership, Employee & Labor Relations, Payroll Services and Office of Professional Learning & Leadership to ensure alignment with systemic initiatives; and

Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Use of appropriate written, verbal or electronic communication format to disseminate information;

Proficient in a variety of technologies for data collection and reporting (e.g. Microsoft Office Suite, Oracle and Internet); and

Ability to maintain confidentiality.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:


Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Human Resources, Business Management, Public Administration, or a related field, preferred;  Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university, required.  A minimum of five (5) years of progressive experience in human resources or a related field required, experience in an educational institution preferred.

Oversees and provides guidance and direction to the unit staff.
