POSITION SUMMARY:


The Oracle Business Technology Liaison will operate in the Technology Training & Support Office and report to the Director of Instructional Technology & Support in the Division of Information Technology. The incumbent will be responsible for designing, and delivering professional learning activities, and assisting external and internal stakeholders. The Oracle Business Technology Liaison will represent the needs of the district’s personnel for technical planning groups and represent the needs of Information Technology. 

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Provides overall leadership and management of Oracle project resources including all HR, Payroll, Budget and Purchasing stakeholders and third party resources;

Prepares project scope and develop project plans, define resource loading, skill requirements, milestones, and metrics per standard methods and practices;

Develops a budget based on an analysis of needs and priorities with an awareness of availability of resources within the Training Department;

Participates in the development of procedural requirements in the form of budgetary workbooks or procedural manuals;

Participates in program audits and monitoring by furnishing requested data and participating in interview sessions;

Provides support and direction with departmental initiatives;

Consults with school system divisions on business requirements and specifications;

Facilitates as one of the team’s Oracle Lead trainers;

Maintains training documents and resources;

Manages and facilitates instructional software testing and approval process;

Participates in textbook adoption process and facilitates digital content with Clever access;

Develops detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans and status reports;

Provides technical and analytical guidance to project teams;

Provides training and refresher training to support ERP modules to include HR, Payroll, BMS - Budget,  Accounts Payable, and Purchasing, as required;

Recommends and takes action to direct the analysis and solutions of problems;

Ensures adherence to quality standards and specifications;

Ensures the IT projects are implemented according to defined requirements;

Interacts and maintains positive relationships with internal stakeholders;

Prepares and reports accurate project status to management;

Ensures detailed documentation and records of project implementations, including all changes to deliverables, resources and schedules;

Leads project meetings with project team;

Provides direction for deployment and changes management activities;

Manages project risk by anticipating issues through implementation and provide immediate resolution or escalation, where required;

Provides leadership in developing skills and breadth of product knowledge to project team members.

Acts as a mentor to team members and provides constructive feedback on their performance on a regular basis and formally during the performance evaluation periods;

Serves as a presenter and facilitator at conferences and meetings;

Assists  the Director, Supervisor, and other key administrative and personnel, with budgetary needs, and methods of fulfilling such needs;

Exercises judgment to plan and accomplish goals;

Manages outsourced work, consultants, vendors and relationships; and

Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Excellent project planning, budgeting, scheduling and resource management skills;

Effective time management, documentation and organizational skills;

Experience managing and/or directing Information Technology Applications Development team;

Good understanding and knowledge of implementation methodology or integration methodology;

Strong leadership skills preferred;

Experience dealing with third party vendors;

Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills;

Highly self-motivated, self-directed and attentive to detail;

Proficiency with Google G-Suite, MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and MS Project, and

Excellent teambuilding skills. 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:


Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited college or university required, with three (3) to four (4) years project management experience.

CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:


None Required.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:


No direct supervisory responsibilities.
