POSITION SUMMARY:
Under
the direction of the Director of Professional Learning & Leadership, the
Planning Data Analyst – Professional Learning & Leadership performs
advanced analytical/interpretive functions for the Office of Professional
Learning & Leadership and other offices which support the professional
development of employees across the school system. The incumbent of this position is responsible
for the development, preparation and presentation of appropriate statistical
and analytical information necessary to properly evaluate professional
development efforts and to provide for efficiencies and improvements in professional
development programs. Assignments include creating a wide variety of documents and
presentations. The responsibilities are considered administrative in nature and
may require an employee to occasionally work beyond the normal workday or work
week. The work is reviewed by the Director of Professional Learning &
Leadership for results obtained in meeting the objectives and goals of the department.
DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Develops,
prepares and presents appropriate statistical and analytical information
related to teacher and administrator professional development and retention;
Documents
and delivers data regarding professional development activities provided to
non-certificated employees served by the department and related impact for the
school system;
Collaborates
with the various departments of Human Resources, School Leadership Team and
Curriculum and Instruction to gather statistical data regarding the progress
and success of professional development services as it relates to promotions
and retention of teachers and administrative certificated personnel;
Compiles
and analyzes statistical data and information to produce flow charts, identify measures
of success, and support the effective delivery of services related to
professional growth and development;
Produces
related presentation materials and documents used to brief administrators and
executive personnel regarding professional development efforts;
Develops
and maintains monitoring tools to record professional growth opportunities
which directly relate to successful employee performance and retention;
Analyzes,
tracks and records employee promotions which are supported by the collaboration
of processes and activities of the various school system divisions; and
Performs related work as assigned.

Must be proficient in Microsoft Office
Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, etc.) and skilled using the internet
for work related research, as well as Oracle and related technologies.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Associate’s
Degree from an accredited college or university in Management, Business
Management or related field; or any equivalent combination of experience and
training, which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

No direct supervisory responsibilities.
