POSITION SUMMARY:


Serves as a key member of the PGCPS educator effectiveness work team.  Responsible for coordinating, team building, managing multiple tasks, planning, allocating resources and communicating with customers and sponsors.  Assists with the development, implementation and coordination of cross-functional project teams.  Builds strong working relationships and collaboration across various departments within PGCPS.  Facilitates seamless communication and workflow products across all project teams and departments ensuring timely deliverables in line with the grant milestones and goals.  Keeps project teams informed of project status and changes; assist with project team reporting to Working Group to inform key decisions.  Assist with the development and implementation of the Communications plan.

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Leads the planning and implementation of projects;

Creates and executes project work plans and revises as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements; defines and identifies required resources;

Manages day-to-day operational aspects of a project scope;

Reviews and ensures project deliverables and enforces project standards;

Ensures project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately;

Facilitates cross functional project team meetings effectively;

Keeps project team well informed of changes within the organization;

Effectively communicates relevant project information to Employee Performance and Evaluation Officer;

Resolves and/or escalates issues in a timely fashion;

Provides weekly project status reports to Employee Performance and Evaluation Officer;

Plans and schedules project timelines;

Track project deliverables using appropriate tools;

Provides direction and support to project team;

In collaboration with Research Analyst provides project evaluations and assessment of results to project teams, Working Group, executive leadership and Employee Performance and Evaluation Officer;

Conducts focus groups;

Coordinates and implements project communications;

Prepares reports as needed; and

Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Thorough knowledge of public school administration;

Considerable knowledge of data analyses, research design and evaluation procedures;

Strong computer skills;

Strong leadership skills;

Excellent oral and written communication skills;

Excellent human relation skills; and

Ability to interact effectively with school officials, legal representatives, community groups, employees, and others.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:


Master's degree from an accredited college or university in the social sciences, an emphasis on school administration and supervision is preferred, or any combination of applicable knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform effectively in the position.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:


Highly demanding and fast-paced environment; frequently required to work long hours and weekends. Annual leave may be limited during specified timeframes. Local and non-local travel may be required.
